Bursaries

We aim to empower students from previously disadvantaged communities, child- and single-parent headed households, those who are in dire financial need, and aspirational students who wish obtain a tertiary education in spite of difficult circumstances.

Application criteria

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Enrol and be accepted into an AGRICOLLEGES international course
  • Be unemployed or part-time employed
  • Receive a maximum personal monthly income of R 5,000

Remember, qualifying for a bursary does not mean that you will be granted as bursary. There are many worthy candidates and only a limited amount of bursaries available.

Bursary application process

  • Enrol in the course that you want to study through AGRICOLLEGES international
  • Once you have successfully enrolled, you will be asked to make your course payment
  • At this stage, there will be an option to apply for a bursary
  • Select the “apply for bursary” option and complete the necessary application form

What supporting documents will be required as part of the application process?

If you are older than 18 and employed:

  • Certified copy of South-African ID
  • Payslip for yourself (even if it is part time)
  • Last three months bank statements for yourself
  • Latest academic record of highest qualification obtained
  • Reference letter from your employer
  • An affidavit that you have no criminal record

If you are unemployed and staying with your parents/guardian:

  • Certified copy of South-African ID
  • Certified copy of your parents/guardian’s certified IDs (if you are under 18)
  • Payslip for your parents/guardian if they are employed (even if it is part time)
  • Affidavit for yourself and your parents/guardian who are unemployed, stating why they are unemployed
  • Proof of all social grants paid to members in the household
  • Last three month’s bank statements for your parents/guardian from all their bank accounts
